At Serenity Zen, every therapist is CAMTC certified. That takes at least 500 hours at an approved school, at least 100 of them on anatomy, physiology, safety and ethics, and fingerprints on file with the California Department of Justice and the FBI.
Ask where each service happens
A good studio can tell you exactly where you will be and what you will wear. At Serenity Zen, a body massage happens in a private room. You undress to your comfort level in private and stay covered by a sheet; only the area being worked on is uncovered. Most guests keep their underwear on.
A foot massage happens in the Reflex Lounge, at your own station behind heavy curtains, and you stay fully clothed. The Combination, foot massage then body massage, happens at that same curtained station; for the body portion, you undress to your comfort level behind the curtains and stay draped.
Make sure the pressure is yours to set
You should never have to put up with pressure you did not ask for. At Serenity Zen, you tell the front desk where you want the work and how much pressure you like, and it goes to your therapist before you start.
You can change the pressure at any time and never have to explain why. Every body massage follows the Zen Flow™ method, where pressure deepens as you breathe out, when a muscle tends to guard less.
Check prices and policies up front
Look for a studio that shows every length and price before you book and has a plain cancellation policy. At Serenity Zen, every length and its price is shown when you book, and Swedish and deep tissue are the same price.
Cancel or change more than 12 hours ahead and there is no charge. Inside 12 hours, the charge is 50 percent of the service, and a no-show with no contact after 10 minutes is the full price. The details are on the policies page.

Do I need an appointment?
Booking ahead holds your time, which matters most on weekends and evenings. Without one, you are seen when a therapist is free.
Where do I park?
In the Diamond Bar Town Center lot. Parking there is free.
When should I arrive?
Arrive 15 minutes early. There are lockers with a key bracelet you keep, and for a foot massage, wear something that rolls up above the calf.
Can I use a gift card at the Diamond Bar studio?
Yes. Gift cards work at both studios, for any service, and they never expire.
