Serenity Zen was founded by Dr. Nick, DAOM L.Ac., a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a California Licensed Acupuncturist. Every therapist in Diamond Bar is CAMTC certified. That takes at least 500 hours at an approved school, at least 100 of them on anatomy, physiology, safety and ethics, and fingerprints on file with the California Department of Justice and the FBI.

The first thing your therapist asks is where you want the work and how much pressure you want. You can change that answer at any point in the session, and nothing about asking is awkward. Firm does not have to mean painful, and light does not have to mean nothing is happening.

Our own deep tissue is the Zen Flow™ method. The weight is spread wide before it goes deep, the strokes run long and hand off to one another, and your breathing sets the tempo. It reaches the same depth as ordinary deep tissue, without the bracing. Every therapist here learns it before their first guest.

Good to know

Do I need an appointment? Booking online or calling ahead holds your time, which matters on weekends and evenings.

Is there parking? Yes. The Diamond Bar Town Center lot is free, and the studio is right in the center.

Where do I put my things? There are lockers at the front with a key bracelet, and each room has space for personal items. Water or tea is offered at the end of your session.

Can I choose the pressure? Yes. Tell the front desk or your therapist what you want, from light to deep, and say so during the session if you want a change.

What is the cancellation policy? Cancel or reschedule more than 12 hours ahead at no charge. Inside 12 hours the fee is 50 percent of the service, and a no-show with no contact after 10 minutes is the full price.
